Fahey's Family Owned & Operated for Over Sixty Years

Established in 1943 by Thomas Fahey, then taken over by David's father, David Pomfret Sr in the mid 1960's, Fahey has been providing professional pest management services to residents and businesses on the Gulf Coast of Florida for over sixty-five years. In fact, Fahey Pest Management holds the oldest pest control license in the county!

David grew up in the pest control business. While in school, he worked part-time for his father at Fahey during the summers. After graduating from high school, he joined the Air Force and served our country for four years. Upon leaving the Air Force, David returned to Fahey to run a pest control route and continued to work part-time for his father while attending Manatee Community College, University of Central Florida and the University of South Florida.

After college, David returned to Fahey to run the Venice branch and was soon promoted to General Manager of the Main Branch in Sarasota. After ten years with the company young David purchased Fahey in 1993 from his father who was ready to retire.

David M. Pomfret IV, Owner and President, is the second generation to proudly serve Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties. Together with his wife, Terry, they have continued the commitment of providing a quality pest management service that respects the customer and their property.

They are committed to high ethical standards and valued principles in their company and within the industry. Furthermore, they have an ongoing commitment to be a progressive and environmentally "green" pest management company.

Both David and Terry are active in state and national associations. David is a former Regional Director & President (2005-2006) of the Florida Pest Management Association and Terry recently (2007-2008) chaired the Professional Women in Pest Management. Fahey's Commitment to the Community!

Fahey has a history of giving back to the community we live in and love, They sponsored and promoted the Stranger Danger program with the Sarasota County Sheriff Department in the 1970's in our local schools. They have donated pest control and termite treatment services to local churches and non-profit organizations and helped out individuals less fortunate by providing services for their homes. Fahey also supports local school sports programs.

David and Terry are active supporters of Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee County where Terry has volunteered for the past 8 years as a member of the Executive Board. And David is a member of the Shriners.
